GET TO KNOW YOUR EMT/Paramedic RESPONDERS!

Katie was nominated by her supervisors for the FCEMS "Get to know us" news section, because “Katie is the kind of person who gives off light and it is reflected by most of her peers. She can enter into any room and brighten anybody’s day.”

She is a valued EMT with our agency and has been so for 1 1/2 years. She began as one of our explorers in our explorer program and applied when she finished her EMT basic program at Forsyth Tech.

Katie enjoys rock climbing and reading and plans to attend Paramedic School in the upcoming year!

During our interview, we learned a little more about this outstanding employee.

Why Forsyth County EMS?

“ This is the city that I grew up in, and I feel like it is cool to see my city in an entirely new way. I care so much about the people, because they are MY people. "

Tell us one fun fact about yourself?

“ When I was 18, I decided to move to Uganda in East Africa for a year!”
