Mostly cloudy skies have limited boundary layer mixing over the Triad today, allowing air quality levels to rise into the lower Code YELLOW range. An area of disturbed weather moves in from the southwest tomorrow to bring a chance of some light rain during the day. Skies will likely remain cloudy and chilly as a result, keeping particle pollution levels elevated in the lower portion of the atmosphere to keep air quality AQI Code YELLOW. High pressure builds in from the west on Sunday to clear out skies, dropping particle pollution levels into the upper Code GREEN range into Monday. (Payne)
