Volunteers Encouraged to Apply

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will consider the following volunteer board appointments at their regular scheduled meeting on September 13, 2010. If you wish to apply for a volunteer board appointment, you may do so by visiting the Volunteer Opportunities page of the Commissioners' website and complete the online application form or call the Commissioners’ Office at 703-2020 between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm to obtain a questionnaire. The deadline for receiving resumes and completed questionnaires is Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 5:00 pm.

• Four (4) Appointments to the ADULT CARE HOME COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE, Three (3) Appointments, Three-Year Terms, One Expiring July 2013 and Two Expiring September 2013 and One (1) Appointment, One-Year Term, Expiring July 2011 (Capacity: Open)
• One (1) Appointment to the APPEARANCE COMMISSION, WINSTON-SALEM/FORSYTH COUNTY, to Fill an Unexpired Term, Expiring February 2013 (Capacity: Special Experience or Education in Design)
• One (1) Appointment to the COALITION FOR DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION, Three-Year Term, Expiring March 2013 (Capacity: Religion Representative)
• Two (2) Appointments to the EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COUNCIL, Three-Year Terms, Expiring September 2013 (Capacity: General Member)
• One (1) Appointment to the EQUALIZATION & REVIEW BOARD - 2010 to Fill an Unexpired Term, to Serve Until All Matters Have Been Considered Relative to Tax Listings and Tax Values for the Current Year
