Forsyth County's CFO, Paul Fulton, is named 2010 Government CFO of the Year by The Business Journal. Fulton has been an employee of the Forsyth County Finance Dept. for 36 years. As CFO for the past 22 years, Fulton has guided Forsyth County through many challenges, including most recently the pending closure of Dell Inc.'s factory.
Fulton is proud to say that Forsyth County became the first county in N.C. and the second county in the country to be rated AAA by Moody's, Fitch and Standard and Poor's. He is also responsible for Forsyth County maintaining a AAA bond rating despite the seemingly devastating economy impacts of the RJR buyout and the merger of Wachovia and First Union.
Forsyth County Manager Dudley Watts states, "This award is a reflection of Paul's tremendous contributions to Forsyth County and his dedication to excellence. It is not only an honor for Paul and his outstanding team in the Finance Department, but also a recognition for the entire organization. Congratulations!"
