Two Forsyth County Tax Administration employees were recent recipients of awards at the 30th Annual North Carolina Property Mappers Association (NCPMA) conference held in Greensboro in October
The “2010 Mapper of the Year” award was presented to Tammy Spencer, a Senior GIS Technician with over thirty-one years experience in property mapping in the Forsyth County Assessor’s Office. The Mapper of the Year award recognizes an individual’s supreme commitment to the organization and to the advancement of the Mapping Profession. Tammy has held every position of the NCPMA Executive Board, including President. Tammy continues her commitment to the Association through her service on the committee’s of Certification, Publication and Education, as well as serving as the primary editor of the NCPMA newsletter “The North Arrow”.
The “2010 Academic Achievement” award was presented to Carlo Frate, a GIS Technician with over ten years experience in the GIS profession. Carlo has been a member of the Forsyth County Assessor’s Office for over three years. The Academic Achievement award is presented to the member who attains the highest level of academic excellence in the annual advanced Mapping School sponsored by the NCPMA. Along with this award, Carlo also earned the designation of Senior Mapper which recognizes the important qualities of experience and academic aptitude.
