Foster Parents are Needed to Nurture Children and You Can Help!

Imagine the endless possibilities of becoming a Foster Adopt Resource Parent for children in Foster Care! Forsyth County Department of Social Services is partnering with Triad Baptist Church (1175 South Main Street in Kernersville) to host three informational sessions that are open to the community.

Discover the needs of children in our community, how you and your significant other can help, what the basic requirements are to become resource parents through the Family & Children’s Division of Social Services and how your care can nurture children during critical transitional times.

These events are both inspirational and informational for citizens of Forsyth County who desire opportunities to nurture children, coach teens and strengthen families in our community. In addition to Social Services staff, there will be current Foster Adopt Resource Parents present to answer your more detailed questions.

The sessions will be at Triad Baptist Church (1175 South Main Street in Kernersville) in Meeting Room E-107. The sessions are:

  • Tuesday, November 2, 7:00-8:30
  • Saturday, November 13, 10:00-11:30
  • Tuesday, November 16, 7:00-8:30

RSVP: To ensure there are adequate materials and snacks, please RSVP by emailing Miles of Hope Orphan Ministry or call Triad Baptist Church at 993-7573.

If you are unable to attend a session and are interested in more information about becoming a licensed Foster Adopt Resource Parent to nurture children in Foster Care, please call Forsyth County Social Services at 703-CHILD (2445).
