Running of the Lights

This is the perfect way to start off the New Year! Running of the Lights has very quickly become a family favorite. With over 1,000 participants, the race is a 3.2 mile run that takes place at the stroke of Midnight on New Year's Eve. The course winds through the Festival of Lights, an extremely popular light display that sees over 200,000 cars a year. This is the only opportunity to see the Lights on foot! Both the 3.2 mile run and the 1.5 mile fun run have lights along the entire course to marvel at and enjoy.

There is a fireworks display during the run, and the event begins with a live feed to Time Square on a huge screen. Everyone does the countdown together while watching the ball drop, and then the race begins!

Each aid station has water and hot chocolate available. Refreshments and hot chocolate will be available at the finish line. Come out and kick off the New Year with us!
