Bike Downtown without Traffic on Cycling Sunday

Bicyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to bring their bikes downtown for Cycling Sunday, from 2:30 - 5:30 pm on June 19th. Streets will be closed to motor vehicles so cyclists, walkers, and skaters can enjoy this human-powered event.

There’s no charge and helmets are required. Participants can register at the Spring Street entrance to the Forsyth County Public Library. Registered participants will be eligible to win either an adult or a child bicycle. During Cycling Sunday, downtown streets bounded by Fifth Street, Spruce Street, Holly Avenue and Spring Street, will be closed to motor vehicles. Be sure to bring dad for an active and unique Father’s Day treat.

Cycling Sunday is sponsored by the Forsyth County Department of Public Health and the City of Winston-Salem Department of Transportation’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Program.
