Upcoming FREE Flu Vaccinations

The Forsyth County Department of Public Health will begin giving free flu vaccinations on Monday, October 3rd, in Clinic 3. At this time, a mass vaccination clinic is not scheduled.

Flu vaccine is recommended for the following persons: All people 6 months of age and older, especially pregnant women, healthcare personnel, close contacts of children younger than 6 months of age, and anyone with certain health conditions, such as heart, lung or kidney disease, or a weakened immune system.

In addition to the standard vaccine, we also have a limited amount of High Dose flu vaccine which is designed for those 65 yrs. of age and older. We have only injectable flu vaccine (not the intranasal).

Anyone who wishes to be vaccinated for influenza should come to Clinic 3 at the health department located at 799 N Highland Ave., Winston-Salem, NC. during the following flu vaccination hours:

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Thursday: 1:00 - 7:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
