Forsyth County DSS Family & Children’s Division Resource & Provider Fair

Thursday, May 17th, The Forsyth County Department of Social Services Family & Children’s Division will host a free Resource Fair at the Forsyth County Cooperative Extension Building located at 1450 Fairchild Dr. The fair originally focused on agency social workers but this year expanded to include foster parents, relative caregivers, and other community partners. This event promises to be information-filled with an expected 40 service providers from throughout Forsyth County. Sponsored annually by The Family & Children’s Division, the Resource Fair is open from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Family & Children’s Division staff had the collaborative vision of this fair. They know the importance of everyone learning about, understanding, and having access to the great services this area offers. Whether it is health issues, residential placement options, nutrition, mental health services, summer programming for teens, or hair care advice, there will be people at this fair who will be able to help. This fair will provide an opportunity to talk face-to-face with all sorts of providers. The goal of the fair providers is to help you with resources for just about anything going on in your life.
