North Carolina Adopts Food Code

As North Carolina transitions to the Food Code there will be some changes in the requirements for restaurants and other foodservice operations. Some of the changes include a requirement for an employee health policy, no bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods and the use of consumer advisories. The environmental health staff will be presenting information about these changes on August 13 at the Reynolda Library Auditorium located at 2839 Fairlawn Drive and August 15 at the Cooperative Extension Service located at 1450 Fairchild Road. Space is limited so call 703-3225 to register.
