The Forsyth County Board of Elections is currently recruiting residents to serve as Precinct Officials for the 2012 General Election. The requirements are that you are 18 years of age and a registered voter in Forsyth County.
Work begins the day before the election setting up the precinct with the voting machines and voting booths. On Election Day you are required to be at your assigned polling location no later than 6:00 a.m. to prepare to open for the day. Voting starts at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m. Precinct Officials must remain at the precinct until all voters in line have been processed and all reports are completed.
We need community service minded individuals who can make the needed time commitment, and perform the duties expected of a Precinct Official. Available positions include: Chief Judge, Judge, Assistant, and Student Election Assistant. Training is provided prior to the election.
