Master Plan for Horizons Park

The Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department along with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Planning Department developed a Master Plan for Horizons Park with participation by citizens and stakeholders. The Master Plan is the first step in assessing the potential development of the park and in identifying the type of facilities it could support while preserving its distinctive physical qualities and environmental value.

The proposed improvements will offer a unique and rewarding experience for future park visitors. Both passive-recreation and active-recreation opportunities will further help citizens of Forsyth County to connect with the natural, outdoor environment of the park, and to reap the benefits of outdoor exercise in beautiful and natural surroundings.
