Flu shots start October 1!

The seasonal flu vaccine will be available at the Forsyth County Health Department beginning on October 1. Flu vaccine is the best way to protect you from the flu and is recommended for everyone over 6 months of age. The Forsyth County Health Department will provide flu vaccine to anyone at no cost while supplies last.

Due to the increase in the cases of whooping cough (Pertussis), the vaccine to protect you against whooping cough, Tdap, will also be available at no cost. Tdap is given to 6th graders and recommended for all adults who have not yet had one.

Flu and Tdap shots will be given in Clinic 3 of the Health Dept at 799 N Highland Avenue, Winston Salem during the following hours:

  • Mon/Tues/Wed 9am-3pm
  • Thurs 1pm-7pm
  • Fridays 9am-12:30pm
