2013 Walk A Mile To Save Our Babies

Forsyth County Infant Mortality Reduction Coalition and over 65 volunteers walk with empty baby strollers to raise awareness about the issue of infant mortality in Forsyth County.

On September 17, 2013, Forsyth County Infant Mortality Reduction Coalition and over 65 community partners walked a mile loop through Downtown Winston-Salem with 46 empty baby strollers. Each stroller commemorated one baby in Forsyth County who died before their first birthday during 2011, a number equal to two Kindergarten classrooms.
