Upcoming Class: Community Gardening 101

Alison Duncan, Community Gardening Coordinator for Forsyth County, will be teaching a class called, “Community Gardening 101” at the Forsyth County Cooperative Extension Center on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from 5pm to 7pm.

The class will cover the basics of starting a community garden, including the organizational, procedural, and horticultural information needed to successfully grow a community garden. This class is the first offered in the Sustainable Growing Series, which is a year-long educational program aimed at urban growers.

There is no cost to attend the Community Gardening 101 class, but participants are asked to register ahead of time. Please call Kitrinka Gordon at 336-703-2850 or email her at gordonkl@forsyth.cc to register for the class.
