Alison Duncan, Community Gardening Coordinator for Forsyth County, will be teaching a class called “Bringing Beneficials to the Garden” at the Forsyth County Cooperative Extension Center on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from 6pm to 8pm. This class is being offered as a part of the Sustainable Growing Series.
Ladybugs, honeybees, lacewings, butterflies, wasps, assassin bugs… all of these insects can contribute to the success of your garden! During the class, we will discuss how you can bring some wonderful pollinators and predators into your growing space. In addition to creating a habitat for some very helpful critters, you will improve your garden’s overall appearance and grow more produce!
All participants will receive a helpful insect identification guide.
There is a $7 fee to participate in this class, and interested individuals are asked to register ahead of time. Please call Kitrinka Gordon at 336-703-2850 or email her at gordonkl@forsyth.cc to register.
