Interruption of Tax Payment Services beginning June 30th

The Forsyth County Tax Office will begin its tax software conversion on July 1st.

To Whom It May Concern:

On Tuesday July 1, 2014, an interruption in property tax collection and payment services is anticipated. The interruption could continue through July 14th, 2014.

Forsyth County Tax Administration is scheduled to convert to a new billing and collections system beginning on July 1, 2014.

On-line bill lookup data will be unavailable beginning June 30, 2014 at 2:00pm and will not be updated until the new system is operating.

Electronic payment methods will be unavailable for tax payment processing beginning Monday June 30, 2014 at 2:00pm. Electronic payment of taxes will resume when the new system is operating.

Tax payments can be made at any time through the mail or in person. Fully paid past due Registered Motor Vehicle bills will have blocks removed.

  • Forsyth County Tax Collector
  • PO Box 82
  • Winston-Salem, NC 27102

Payments made in person:

  • Forsyth County Tax Collector
  • (except holidays) Forsyth County Government Center
  • 201 N. Chestnut Street
  • (Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

After hours drop box location:

  • 201 N. Chestnut St., between 2nd and 3rd St., near the parking deck entrance
