Members of the Forsyth/Stokes 4-H Livestock Judging Team participated in the State 4-H Livestock Judging and Skill-a-thon contest July 16 and 17 at the NC State University Beef Unit in Raleigh. Hannah King, daughter of Bruce and Angela King of Walnut Cove placed 7th overall in junior livestock judging, 3rd in Swine and 3rd in Oral Reasons. Brandon Hartman, son of Keith and Sharon Hartman also of Walnut Cove placed 9th in Senior Swine and was 18th overall in senior judging. During the skill-a-thon competition, Brandon was 6th in Senior Quality Assurance, 4th in Id/Written Test and 7th Overall. Hannah was 4th in Junior Evaluation, 2nd in ID/Written Test, and 2nd Overall. Also competing in skill-a-thon was Lynae Bowman, daughter of Neil and April Bowman of Germanton. Lynae was 6th in Junior ID/Written Test and 6th Overall.
