Community Garden Mentor Training

The Community Garden Mentor program is run by Forsyth Community Gardening. Mentors play a critical role in developing and sustaining the more than 120 community gardens in Forsyth County. Individuals who complete the two-day training are equipped with the community organizing and basic horticultural knowledge needed to help gardens in their communities flourish. In addition to this initial training, Mentors attend monthly meetings to share their resources, acquire new skills, and strengthen the community gardening network.

Attend the two-day training:

  • 9am-3pm on Saturday, December 6th
  • 9am-3pm on Saturday, December 13th
  • You must be able to attend BOTH training days in order to participate

The two-day training will be held at the Forsyth County Agriculture Building, located at 1450 Fairchild Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.

Lunch and snacks will be provided. There is no cost to participate.
