On May 14, 2015, County Manager, J. Dudley Watts presented the FY 2015-2016 Recommended Budget to the Board of County Commissioners. The recommended budget continues to maintain service levels while maximizing efficiency.
The recommended budget includes a tax rate of 72.83 cents, an increase of 1.15 cents from the FY 2014-2015 rate of 71.68 cents. Of the proposed 72.83 cents, 4.51 cents is dedicated to two Education Debt Leveling Plans. Digital copies of the FY2015 Manager's Proposed Budget can be found at any of the Forsyth County Public Library Branches. A hard copy of the Preliminary Budget document is located in the Clerk to the Board's office on the 5th floor of the Forsyth County Government Center.
The County Manager is scheduled to provide a detailed presentation of the budget on May 21st and the Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 26th at 6:00pm during the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners.
