Come learn how to prevent crop damage by common insect pests like aphids, squash bugs, cabbage worms, and others. We’ll also discuss how to create habitat for beneficial insects with flowering plants that provide year-round resources for pollinators and predators that eat insect pests. Finally, you’ll tour the native plant area at El Buen Pastor, which contains perennial flowers to attract these ‘beneficials.’ The first 30 participants to register will receive Mac’s Field Guide to Good & Bad Garden Bugs!
The workshop will be held on Thursday, June 30 from 6-8 pm at El Buen Pastor Community Garden (4637 Tim Rd., Winston-Salem NC 27106).
