Stop by and support the graduates of Cooperative Extension’s Urban Farm School. Urban Farmers have used organic practices to grow beans, cucumbers, greens, herbs, peppers, squash, and tomatoes. The goal of the Urban Farm School is to train urban farmers in sustainable market gardening, improve economic outcomes for the farmers, and to increase assess to fresh, locally grown vegetables in the urban center. Our next farmers market day is July 23 at Liberty Street Market, 1591 N. Liberty Street. For more information contact Tembila Covington at 336-703-2859 or by email at covingtc@forsyth.cc.
