What is in season locally?

Apples, Bok Choy, carrots, celery root, rutabaga, spinach and sweet potatoes are a few of the produce items grown in North Carolina that are available in the month of February.

Buying locally grown foods not only supports farmers, but helps support the local economy. During February, you can shop at the following Farmers Markets:

The Dixie Classic Market (at the fairgrounds) is open year round on Saturday mornings (8-11 am)

Cobblestone has a Winter Market in the Chatham Building in downtown Winston-Salem (9-11 am)
