The City of Winston-Salem, in partnership with Forsyth County and the Housing Authority of Winston-Salem (HAWS), is beginning work on an Assessment of Fair Housing. This study will focus on fair and affordable housing needs in the area. It will also discuss how residents decide where to live and what neighborhoods provide the most opportunity. The Assessment is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for all cities and counties that receive federal community development and housing funds.
An important part of this study is hearing from local residents. Please share your opinions on housing and community resources at one of the following public meetings:
