Cover Crop Workshop, September 19

Would you like to improve your garden soil, add nitrogen for next year's veggies, and start with a weed-free plot next Spring? In this workshop, learn to select and plant cover crops this fall for a healthier vegetable garden next season. We’ll discuss cover crop options for NC and planning a crop rotation with cover crops. You’ll try your hand at planting a winter cover crop, and we will share tips on managing these cover crops next Spring to prepare plots for summer vegetables.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 19 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the WFU Campus Garden (1141 Polo Rd., Winston-Salem NC 27106). Please bring a lawn chair.

Please register by email at coop-ext-registration@forsyth.cc or call 336-703-2850. For Spanish interpretation or accommodation requests related to a disability, please call 336-705-8823 at least two weeks before the event.
