Extension to Host Winter Pruning Workshops

When should I prune my hydrangeas? How do I prune blueberries so they will be productive this season? Questions about pruning are some of the most common gardening questions. Join Extension Agents Leslie Peck and Mary Jac Brennan to learn proper pruning techniques during Forsyth Extension Gardener workshops this spring. View the flyer for all the details on these workshops and how to register.

Leslie Peck will teach “Pruning Trees & Shrubs” at Cooperative Extension on Tuesday, January 30 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM, and again at the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park on Wednesday, January 31 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. This session will cover proper pruning of ornamental plants in your landscape.

Mary Jac Brennan will teach “Pruning Blueberries” at 5985 Loop Rd. in Clemmons, NC on Friday, February 9 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. This session will address pruning of blueberries for production and rejuvenation.

These workshops will include outdoor demonstrations, so please dress accordingly. Space is limited, so please register by calling 336-703-2850 or emailing coop-ext-registration@forsyth.cc.

For Spanish interpretation, please call 336-705-8823 at least two weeks before the event. Accommodation requests related to a disability should be made at least 10 days prior to the event by contacting Kim Gressley, County Extension Director, at (336) 703-2850 or by email at ksgressl@ncsu.edu.
