Making the Most of the Winter Sun: A Passive Solar Primer

The sun's path reaches it's lowest angle during the winter months. Learn how to make the most of this phenomenon by harnessing the sunlight that passes through existing windows and doors to provide warmth and enhance energy efficiency. The generation of Passive Solar Energy is a free technology that when applied properly can save money and increase comfort levels. Ways to optimize passive gains through a variety of energy efficiency tips will also be covered, including the placement of outdoor landscaping components to allow the collection of more sunlight in the winter while providing the potential for summer shade.
