June 2019 FCBA Meeting - Speaker Kathy Culver on Bee Teas

Join Forsyth County Beekeepers Association on Saturday, June 1 for a discussion on using herbs and honey to produce medicinal teas. Annual Picnic starts at 5:30 p.m. Hamburgers, Hot dogs and fixings will be provided. Please bring sides dishes. Presentation begins at 6:15 p.m. Meeting takes place at N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, 1450 Fairchild Road, Winston-Salem.

Kathy Culver will be the presenter. She is an herbalist and apiarist who loves teaching what she’s learned over the past 20 years, about how to use plant medicines to benefit health and well-being in humans. Having had a chronically sick child, she went looking for answers in the alternative health field and found that many of the issues encountered were successfully eliminated or improved using plant medicines and nutrition. These discoveries led her to a lifelong love and study of herbal medicine and using food as medicine.

Her background includes a degree in Business Administration from Gaston College and certification in traditional, western herbalism from Appalachia School of Holistic Herbalism. Currently, she is blending together her love and knowledge of plant medicines and honey bees to create herbal antiviral, antibacterial, and immune system boosting Bee-Teas. The Bee-Teas she designed were created to assist the honey bees’ own immune system’s defenses to help them overcome and survive the devastating effects of the many health issues they are dealing with in our current environment.
