Tanglewood Arboretum Adult Education Classes for Fall 2019

N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, and Extension Master Gardener(SM) Volunteers invite you to attend the 2019 Fall Adult Education Classes at the Arboretum and Gardens at Tanglewood Park.

Classes are offered once a month from 11 a.m.-12 p.m/ at the Arboretum office (4201 Manor House Circle, Clemmons, NC 27012) or Walnut Hall (4061 Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012. Upon entering the park, follow signs to Walnut Hall). Please pay attention to the class location for each program.

Registration is required and opens two weeks before each class. Register by calling 336-703-2850 or emailing coop-ext-registration@forsyth.cc. Space is limited.

This fall’s topics are:

September 18 | It’s Not Little! What Bonsai Is and Isn’t
Dr. Daniel Johnson, a Wake Forest University Professor of Biology, will discuss the history of bonsai, how the art form is evolving, and what it takes to create these living sculptures.

October 16 | Borders, Screens, and Hedges
Tyler O’Mara, the Gardener at Greensboro Children’s Museum, will be presenting at the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park on how to select and properly install plant material to create borders, screens, and hedges.

November 6 | Holiday Decorations with Plants from Your Garden
Debra Barnes, a Forsyth County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer, will be teaching how to create festive arrangements and decorations for the holiday season to impress your friends and family.
