Commissioner El-Amin Graduates From FBI Citizens Academy

The nine week course gives participants an insider’s look at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It’s designed to foster a greater understanding of federal law enforcement in the community through frank discussion and education. The Citizens Academy is offered to business, religious, civic and community leaders. There were 23 students from across the state in this year’s class, which met in Raleigh.

The course covered different aspects of the FBI, including their programs for civil rights, crimes against children, counterintelligence, cyber crime, white-collar crime and terrorism.

“I was very impressed with what they’re doing now to fulfill their obligations in the constitution,” said El-Amin, who is a former educator who has served on the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners since 2017.
