NOTICE OF THE FORSYTH COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS’ MEETINGS AND BRIEFINGS

NOTICE is hereby given that the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners (Board) will conduct the following Meetings and Briefing Sessions remotely.

1. On Thursday, November 5, 2020, the Board will hold a Special Meeting at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the fifth floor of the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 North Chestnut Street, Winston-Salem, N.C., to vote on submission of an application to the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality for a Community Development Block Grant, and to vote on Unified Development Ordinances amendments UDO-CC2 and UDO-CC3.

The Board will hold a Briefing Session following its Special Meeting at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the fifth floor of the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 North Chestnut Street, Winston-Salem, N.C.

There will be no meeting place where members of the public can be physically present. The Meeting and Briefing Sessions will be broadcast live at 2:00 p.m. on local cable channel WSTV 13, http://winstonsalem.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?publish_id=29 and https://vimeo.com/forsythcountync.

2. On Thursday, November 12, 2020, the Board will hold a Meeting at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the fifth floor of the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 North Chestnut Street, Winston-Salem, N.C.

The Board will hold a Briefing Session following its Meeting at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the fifth floor of the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 North Chestnut Street, Winston-Salem, N.C.

There will be no meeting place where members of the public can be physically present. The Meeting will be broadcast live at 2:00 p.m. on local cable channel WSTV 13-The Government Channel, http://winston-salem.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?publish_id=29 and https://vimeo.com/forsythcountync.

The Meeting will include a public session during which members of the public may speak. If you wish to speak, please call 336-422-1200 at 1:45 p.m. on the day of the meeting. You will be placed on hold, and you will be recognized to speak during the public session in the order your call was received.

All persons interested in the proposed public hearings for Unified Development Ordinances amendments UDO-CC4 and UDO-CC5 on the November 12, 2020, agenda are invited by the Board of Commissioners to present their views by submitting a written comment to sloopam@forsyth.cc by Friday, November 13, 2020.

3. On Thursday, November 19, 2020, the Board will hold a Special Meeting at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the fifth floor of the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 North Chestnut Street, Winston-Salem, N.C., to vote on Unified Development Ordinances amendments UDO-CC4 and UDO-CC5.

The Board will hold a Briefing Session following its Special Meeting at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the fifth floor of the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 North Chestnut Street, Winston-Salem, N.C.

4. On Thursday, November 26, 2020, the Board will not hold a Meeting due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

A copy of this notice shall be posted on the bulletin boards located outside the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the fifth floor and also in the lobby on the first floor of the Forsyth County Government Center. A copy of the notice shall be sent to all who receive notification of any changes in the Commissioners’ regular meeting schedule.
