Earth Day Every Day! Six Family Friendly Actions that Really Matter

The first Earth Day took place in 1970 when few regulations existed to protect our soil, air and water. This year marks the 51st anniversary, and while we’ve made great strides, we still have a long way to go. Although we now have laws to help safeguard the environment, what really matters are our everyday activities. Join N.C. Cooperative Extension Agent Phyllis Smith for a free, online presentation as she discusses family-friendly actions that really matter, including recycling, composting, stormwater control, energy conservation, learning about wildlife, and creating wildlife habitat. Participants will discover low-cost/cost-saving strategies that can add up to produce big results.
