Volunteers are key to success in 4-H

Volunteers are the key to our success in the North Carolina 4-H program. Whether you’re interested in becoming a club leader, or just have a few hours to invest, we’ve got challenging and fun roles for adults who want to make a difference. From club leaders who start their own clubs to our club volunteers and judges- we’ve got a volunteer role for anyone interested in working with youth development!

The first step to becoming a 4-H Volunteer is to attend our training to learn more about how you can get involved and empower youth! Forsyth County 4-H will be hosting our virtual 4-H 101 Training on April 19 at 6:30 p.m.. Registration on Eventbrite is required before 5:30 the day of the event. This session will be led by volunteer coordinator Dee An and will highlight the following topics and more!

  • What is a 4-H Club?
  • Types of 4-H Clubs
  • Club Requirements
  • 4-H Club Leaders and Volunteers- What do they do?
  • Checklist for Starting a Club
  • Club By-laws
  • 4-H Online Club Management/ Record Book
  • and so much more!
