Each year, North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County honors its outstanding volunteers for their dedication to the programs they volunteer with. 11 individual volunteers and one partner organization were recognized for their achievements and outstanding dedication to North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County in 2022. The following programs honored one or more volunteers: Forsyth County Soil & Water Conservation, 4-H Youth Development, Extension Master Gardener Volunteers, Urban Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Systems, Family & Consumer Science, and Community Gardening. One individual and one partner organization were awarded the Friend of Extension Award, and two individuals were awarded the COVID Innovator Award. The COVID Innovator award was conferred to volunteers that had gone above and beyond in continuing to educate and mentor our community through the COVID pandemic.
