Commissioners to hold Bimonthly Morning Discussion Sessions

The county commissioners are now holding a series of Bimonthly Morning Discussion Sessions in which they’ll hear presentations on various projects and services.

The first session on May 26 at 10 a.m. will include presentations on:

  • Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) strategy
  • The Multi-Use Agricultural Event Center project
  • The county’s sustainability plan
  • Partners Behavorial Health’s quarterly report
  • Appearance Commission annual report

The commissioners will recess for lunch and will return to be briefed on regular business items in the afternoon. The county manager will also present his proposed Fiscal Year 2023 Budget.

Future Bimonthly Discussion Sessions will take place at 10 a.m. on June 14, Sept. 15 and Nov. 17. The sessions are part of the commissioners’ regularly scheduled briefings. Sessions will contain discussion items and no formal action or voting will be taken during these morning sessions.

Forsyth County Commissioners’ meetings are open to the public and are held at the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 N. Chestnut St. They are also live streamed on Facebook, YouTube and the county’s website.
