Forsyth County is pleased to announce Kirsten Briggs as its new Director of Animal Services at the County Shelter on Sturmer Park Circle. Her first day is February 20th.
Briggs experience includes serving as director of Edison, New Jersey’s animal services department, volunteering with non-profit rescue organizations, participation on special response during hoarding cases, and managing a pet care facility.
Briggs said she is “excited to move to the area and embark on a new journey as Director of Animal Services” and looks forward to forging continuing partnerships with local rescue organizations. Briggs noted it “takes a village” to create a compassionate community for people and their companion animals.
Briggs is excited to collaborate with county partners on outreach, adoptions, spay and neuter programs, and other efforts.
