Kaleideum held a ribbon cutting on Feb. 15 for its new location at 120 West 3rd Street, ahead of its grand opening on Feb. 17.
Kaleideum’s ribbon cutting was as unique as the new children's learning museum itself, featuring a ribbon delivered by drone and held by robot dogs. The 70,000 square foot museum features a variety of interactive exhibits that encourage kids to explore and learn.
County Commissioners approved the funds for construction of the museum, which is on the site of a former Sheriff's Office location, in cooperation with the City of Winston-Salem's renovations of Liberty Plaza.
